Selling my SLS. 2002, 170k miles. Previous owner did the gaskets, headgaskets and studs in 2013. As well a rebuilt transmission from the Cadillac dealer was installed at the same time. If you know the 1998-2004 northstars then you know that the headgaskets blow, they leak oil and the transmissions tend to go. All this has been taken care of on this car. Headgasket alone at a shop is a $3500 job with labor. Car runs like a dream. I’ve had it for a little over a year as a driver to keep from putting too many miles on my STS-V. Everything works. Paint on the top is faded. Paint on the door side trim is peeling. The usual parking lot dings on the doors. Bose speaker under the dash is blown but I have the replacement. I would not hesitate to drive this car across country tomorrow. You may notice other listings for Northstar Cadillacs that read “needs thermostat” or “needs radiator” or “runs hot sometimes”. If you see that run away! It needs a headgasket and studs.
